Meet Nathaniel Cilley:

My name is Nathaniel Cilley, and I'm a passionate New York City therapist who specializes in helping people from all walks of life conquer their anxiety and stress. I'm passionate about improving my clients' lives through anxiety treatment, stress management, and life coaching services. Together, we can take your first steps forward, get your brain unstuck, and bring your life to new heights.

When it comes to overcoming stress and anxiety, I'm convinced you can do it because I did it myself.

When I first moved to New York City, I quickly found myself overwhelmed with constant worry. As much as I love this city, it was a little more of an anxious place than the quiet New Hampshire town I grew up in.  Like most people suffering from anxiety, I felt that worrying and overthinking would somehow protect me from all the bad things in the world. Turns out, that wasn't the case. Suddenly my life wasn't about "what's next" but "what if", and I started second guessing every decision I made - it was crippling.

This is when I discovered Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), a profoundly effective method for helping those with anxiety. Thanks to REBT, I overcame my anxiety and so can you. With so many anxiety treatments, methods and philosophies out there it can be hard to know where to start. Most people get so overwhelmed they give up on getting help altogether. I don't want to waste your time, and that's why I use a method that is scientifically proven to work. The most fulfilling part of my job is seeing my clients make a positive transformation thanks to REBT. This is a method that doesn't focus on making your anxiety problems more bearable - it's designed to kick them to the curb for good.

When I'm not in the office, you might find me zipping around the bike lanes, or outside spending time with friends. I'm a big believer in the benefits of diet and exercise, and it's become an obsession of mine (outside of REBT, of course). A positive change in the body can create equally beneficial changes in the mind.
